I'm a hobbyist, plain and simple. I have no session fees and no products to sell. Instead I offer a time-for-digitals (TFD) exchange.
I'm interested in working with imaginative, spirited people who appreciate photography. People willing to give some consideration to their session, and bring as much energy as I most certainly will. I pour my heart into each session and ask the same of everyone who books with me.
In return you'll receive unique, hand-crafted images (in digital format) to print out and put in your albums or hang on your walls. Portraits you can share with friends and pass down to your children. And perhaps just as important, the memory of an experience you enjoyed. Being photographed should be fun! Not something you have to endure.
The type of work I like to create is called lifestyle portraiture. This isn't just about getting X number of images, it's an experience. It's you and I making a connection and collaborating to create something which authentically represents you or your family.
It's not about studio backdrops, generic props or stiff poses. In fact it's nothing strictly planned. I shoot on-location, using natural light. So you might say lifestyle portraiture is like a choose-your-own-adventure book!
I enjoy photographing families, couples, kids... people of all ages really. Contrary to popular trends, portraiture is not just for young faces! The camera loves light and I simply try to find that glorious light and bring out the best in people while it lasts.
